Week 3: Day 2

Ugh, I've sucked so bad today. I consumed 49 points. Which is 14 points over my daily target goal but I had 5 activity points today, so it was 9 over. I snacked so so much, that was my main issue. I will have to get back on track tomorrow.

It's late and I'm tired from my crappy morning with Caroline refusing to go to sleep. So this is me admitting my faults and moving on with life.

Week 3: Day 1

Hello friends. I'm back. Today was my weigh in and I'm 212.8 pounds so that is a 1.4 pound weight loss since last Sunday. I'm not the happiest about it but it's better than nothing.

I woke up at 4am to take Phil out to the field for work and then came back and slept in until 9:30am thanks to my Nana. I had a Nature Valley graham chocolate thing that I've been addicted to. Those are 2 points. Caroline, Nana and I went to the mall before she left town. I got a Club Lite with fruit so that was 13 points. We walked around the mall and Caroline went on her first Carousel ride! She loved it! We came home and Caroline went down for a nap.

While she was napping I did my Week 2 Day 1 of Turbofire. Today was Fire 45! My favorite so far, the moves are fun and the music rocks! I earned 11 activity points from that! I then ate some snacks which were a triscuit 1 point, baby swiss cheese 2 points, and some cool whip which was 4 points.

I had a light dinner of a spinach roll which was 6 points. I had another nature valley chocolate graham thing which was 2 points. Then I snacked on baby swiss which was 2 points another nature valley bar and a 100 calorie bag of popcorn which was 1 point. (Yes I snacked a lot tonight because I was watching Jersey Shore and then the VMAs) but that's okay since I only went 2 points into my activity points!

Week 2: Day 6

Today will be a short post. A lot of things regarding my health have taken a toll a little bit on me and I'll elaborate more when my blood results come in in a couple weeks depending on if I have a proper diagnoses. I know people that write blogs about fitness or work as a personal trainer or what have you seem like they are invincible and that they always feel great about themselves or don't feel down. I will admit I feel that way when I see a in shape person at the gym. Well, we all have bad days and today would be one of those days to me.

I feel overwhelmed, down and out, and I'm really needing to pick myself off the floor for today.

So I'll leave my blog at that, and I just wanted to post letting everyone know that I am still here and I will be back to blog and hopefully my chipper self tomorrow.

Week 2: Day 4

Today was hard. Very hard. I woke up feeling like total crap. I had a headache, stomach ache, sinus ache, everything ached! It didn't help Caroline wanted to be up at 5:30am. So I will make this blog quick since I am tired and Big Brother is on.

I had a banana for breakfast and Caroline went down for a nap shortly after that. Instead of resting I did Day 4 of Turbofire which was Fire 30 + Stretch 10. I didn't bring as much energy as usual so at the end of it I was really disappointed in myself. I still got up a really mean sweat, but even with that I just counted my workout as moderate and that earned me 4 activity points. Caroline was ready to get up after this short workout.

So for snack I had a chewy bar which was 3 points. Then for lunch I had a ham, swiss, and honey mustard sandwich on toasted wheat bread with hummus and chips. This was 10 points. I then caught up with my tv shows and drank liquids and before I knew it Caroline was ready for a nap. So I laid in my bed and watched cake tv shows and surprisingly I didn't have that big of a craving for it. I had a rice cake as a snack and that was 2 points.

For dinner, we had tacos with lean ground beef. 4 oz. of lean ground beef was 4 points. I had my tacos on two wheat tortillas, which was 7 points for each. I added bell peppers and onions which is zero points and then 2% cheese shredded which was 2 points, 4 tablespoons of light sour cream which was 2 points. So my whole dinner was 15 points. An hour or so later, I had an ice cream bar which was 3 points and when I sat down in bed at 8pm I had a chewy bar for 3 points.

Week 2: Day 3


I had an interesting start to the morning. My daughter stripped her diaper off before I was able to get into her room. Yuck. Luckily, it wasn't much of a mess. I sat her down for some breakfast and I had some peaches and a banana to start my day.

Today was my rest day with TurboFire Day 3, so I didn't have anything to rush into as a work out goes. I just relaxed, played with Caroline and watched some tv. I had a chewy bar for a snack which was 3 points.

Caroline went down for a nap and then Phil came home for lunch. I had a ham, swiss and mustard sandwich on wheat that was 6 points, and then I had chips and hummus which was 4 points (I love me some hummus!) and then after I was lazy and lounged about bed. I feel so lazy and sleepy when I don't work out for some reason. So I just watched tv in bed with my dog haha. When Caroline woke up, I made her some lunch and made myself a snack. I had fat free pudding and 14 almonds which was 5 points.

I started dinner around 4:30pm and started making healthy chicken nuggets, mac and cheese (not so healthy) and green beans. For 1/4 of the total chicken nuggets, it was 4 points. I had honey mustard as a side and it was no points. I had 3/4 cup of mac and cheese and that was 7 points. The green beans were no points. So that was pretty great! :)


I went to fit group today and we did Turbo Jam Cardio Party Mix 3! Wow, Chalene was giving it hard to us for 50 minutes straight! I earned 11 activity points!! Not much of a rest on my rest day but I loved it! After our workout, we had awesome Shakeology which gives you all the nutrients you need during the day and helps you cut your http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifcravings. Plus, IT'S CHOCOLATE! I estimate that as 2 points max since it was a small cup.

I came home, showered, and popped some pop corn (3 points for low fat butter popcorn) and now I'm typing this. :) I want to say welcome to all the new ladies and gents that showed up tonight! You guys did great!!

Week 2: Day 2

It is late here, and I usually don't update this late but I'm up waiting to move some more laundry before I hit the lights.

Today consisted of a lot of cleaning, sweating, and working out! I woke up around 7am with Caroline. She had a waffle and peaches for breakfast and I had a banana and 11 almonds. The almonds were 2.5 points. Nuts are high in fat, calories, and points for some reason but they are good for you as well, so they are nice to have in moderation :)

After scrubbing my kitchen and bathrooms clean, I settled down for a snack which was a Chocolate Rice cake that was 2 points. I sat down and enjoyed some play time with Caroline. She is getting so big and so bossy. I can't believe how amazing she is. :)

I sat her down for some lunch where we split a can of tuna fish with mayo, mustard and relish, just like my mom made me when I was little. Mine was on wheat bread and hers was with wheat thins. My sandwich was 5 points and then I almost had a side of chips and hummus which was 4 points. Yummmmmmmy!

Caroline went down for a nap and I pressed play on Turbofire Day 2. It was HIIT 15 and Stretch 10. HIIT 15 was INSANE! I was dripping sweat after 5 minutes in. It hurt a lot because my shoes so I struggled through but I finished. My husband, Phil helped me figure out why it hurt so much to break in these shoes and we found out my laces were TOO TOO tight. So we loosened them and it was smooth sailing after that. With just 15 minutes of HIIT I earned 4 activity points.

While Caroline was still napping, Phil and I got to watch the newest true blood. We only watch them while she's asleep due to the nature of the show, so it was nice to watch it during the day. I had my afternoon snack which was 11 almonds mixed in fat free chocolate pudding. YUUUUM! It was 4.5 points.

I took a short nap after True Blood and woke up when Caroline got up from her nap around 4:30pm and started on dinner. We had one of our favorites in the house, Chicken Fontina! MMM! I made it with broccoli and cheese, mashed potatoes, and wheat rolls.

I had one piece of chicken and that was 7 points. Plus 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes which was 2 points and 1/2 cup of broccoli and cheddar which was 1 point :) I had 1 and 1/2 rolls with butter and honey and that together was 7 points (this was my small indulgence of the day)

After dinner settled I headed out to the Fayetteville Beachbody Fit Club! Tonight was Monday Madness Mania! We did Turbofire HIIT 20 and Insanity's Fast and Furious. Oh, man! I was dripping sweat all over the place when we were finished. Shaun T who does Insanity is quite actually insane! It is definitely not for the weak minded. I had a hard time getting through it but I will get better with time :)

This workout did a lot better with my shoes and my feet didn't hurt from working out. It was great! Our group of ladies are amazing, and we had women modifying it so you could go all out or modify!

From this 40 minute combo workout, I earned 10 activity points! 10! How insane is that?!?!

I ran by the store from the work out and grabbed some milk. I then treated myself to a ice cream bar which was 3 points, and this came out of my activity points. :) I then scanned my application to become a beachbody coach and submitted it! So shortly I will become a beachbody coach. Even though I don't have a beachbody yet, I will! I want to reach out to everyone that has been in my shoes and thinks I can't do it, I'm too busy, I'll do it tomorrow. Look you CAN do it! And you can mix weight watchers into it! I will be living proof!

I want to thank Robin Barnes and Nikki Harvey for always pushing me and supporting my decision to become a coach! You guys won't regret it!

Week 2: Day 1

I know I didn't post two days in a row, but I didn't fall off the wagon. I just was very very busy :)

Today, I weighed in. I lost 2 pounds :) Not as good as I wanted it to be, but it is a start. Today, I decided that I didn't really like Brazil Butt Lift so I decided to go back to Turbofire. Turbofire is a 60 day program so I'll be done with it right before my vacation :)

I also did this trying to break in my new workout shoes, all I can say is OUCH! I have never done a work out though that had me so pumped up and ready to go. It is awesome. Today I did Fire 30 + Stretch 10. And I earned 7 activity points with Fire 30 alone!

For breakfast I had an english muffin with butter and honey, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, and one scrambled egg. All this was 9 points. Then at lunch I had a ham, swiss cheese and mustard sandwich on wheat bread and that was 5 points. I also had 2 tbsp of Hummus and 4 multigrain tostios and this was 4 points. If you have not tried hummus, you NEED to get it. it's so delicious and so so good for you. My husband even loves it after I had him try it today.

I had a little bit of peaches for snack which was 0 points and then for dinner I made mozzarella burgers and scallop potatoes. They weren't my favorite but that might be because I suck at making burgers. The burgers were 8 points a piece and the 1/2 cup of scallop potatoes were 4 points each. And after dinner I had a ice cream bar that was 4 points each.

Day 5

Today was day 5 and it started out the same boring way it usually does haha. I woke up and got Caroline up and sat her down for breakfast while I had a banana for mine. Before Phil left for work, he commented about how my butt looks much more toned than it did before I started 4 days ago. I have already noticed changes in the mirror and that's only in 4 days!! Got Caroline down for a nap and started Day 5 of Brazil Butt Lift which started out with Bum Bum. Caroline woke up as soon as it was over (which was 30 minutes) so I got out of her crib and we each had a rice cake which is 2 points. We played for a while after that and then I made us tuna fish sandwiches and I had a sugar free vanilla snack pack which was 2 points, so my lunch was 7 points.

After lunch, I put Caroline back down for a longer nap and knocked out Tummy Tuck. Man does that get you. It's all core exercises. Ouch! With the two work outs I earned 5 Activity points. Later in the day, I had a snack which was 3 points which was half a serving (7 crackers) of multigrain wheat thins and a WW cheese spreadable jalapeno flavor.

Around 4pm, I got a letter in the mail from my college that really set me off in a bad mood. Especially since I wasn't able to resolve it today. Short story is I might be kicked out of my college due to my husband having military orders in a different state other than where my school is. So I really didn't want to do anything other than eat, I'm an emotional eater so I really had to control myself.

For dinner I made everyone their own quesadilla. They were so so good! One whole quesadilla is 10 points and I had a dap of light sour cream which was one point plus a half cup of spanish rice which was 3 points. So my dinner was 14 points.


I really didn't want to go on a run because I really was feeling down and out but I pushed myself to go do Chubby Jones week 1 podcast for 26 minutes and I earned 3 activity points. I just finished a 1/2 cup of Dessert Trio ice cream and a rice cake which was 8 points so I'm done for the day still with a point to spare but that is okay.

Day 4

I have decided to Vlog, mainly because I get bored sometimes and I figured it would be fun! Here is my first video:


Today started off slow. Caroline let me sleep in until 730AM so I took it. I ate a banana for breakfast and wasn't hungry so I didn't even think of having a snack and by the time I realized that I didn't have a snack, it was time for lunch. I had Panera Bread for lunch. I ate very well though. I had half of a smoked turkey breast sandwich with everything on it including mayo and mustard on whole grain bread and a cup of chicken noodle soup with an apple as a side. This was all 8 points. I really wish I could have had a bag of chips or bread, but I sacrificed those things and went with the apple which was not as good, but still tasty. I had a diet pepsi though. And to be honest, it wasn't that great. It wasn't as great as I remember. So that's surprising huh? :)

I put Caroline to nap and did Day 4 of Brazil Butt Lift. It was Cardio Axe and High and Tight. And man did I FEEL it today. These exercises earned me 5 activity points. After those, I had a granola bar which was 3 points.

We had a late dinner tonight since Phil got off work later than usual. I made 'Cue the Pulled Pork recipe by Hungry Girl. I had two servings and each serving was 5 points. It was DELISH! I also had 2 whitewheat buns which were 3 points a piece. I made Onion Rings again and I could barely eat any. I ate two so I added 3 points on top of my meal making it 18 points. I can't believe I can't eat as much anymore. It's weird. I use to be able to probably have 3 or 4 servings, but I was stuffed after that.


After putting Caroline to bed and cleaning up the table, I decided to go out for my Chubby Jones run. I'm still on week 1, and it went better today. So I earned 2 points for that today since I only did it for 22 minutes this time because I made it back to my house 3 minutes earlier haha. I still need to finish my points for the day, so in a little I'll probably snuggle up with a 1/2 cup of ice cream or with some low fat popcorn we'll see after I do this dishes and shower :)

Day 3

This morning I let myself rest and sleep in until Caroline woke up. That was about 6:45am. Caroline wanted to cuddle most of the morning, so I made her her usual and I made myself some low sugar apple and cinnamon oatmeal that was 3 points for one packet with water. And then I had a chewy bar as a snack later in the morning.

I put Caroline down to nap, and I was able to do Day 3 of Brazil Butt Lift. Today it was time for 50 minutes of Scuplt. It wasn't my favorite. But I hammered through it and my craving for Panera Bread. I earned 4 points from Activity Points since it wasn't too too heavy duty. I decided also to do 2 days on running and 1 day off, so today was my 'off' day :)

Caroline woke up from her nap right as I was finishing scuplt. So I made her a cheese sandwich with some manderine oranges. I made myself a ham and cheese on toasted wheat sandwich. That was 6 points, plus I had a banana with Fat free chocolate pudding as usual and that was 2 so all together my lunch was 8 points.

After I got Caroline down for another nap, I got myself an afternoon snack. I had 7 multigrain wheat thins and a weight watchers jalapeno cheese spread wedge and those together 4 points.

For dinner, I made spinach lasagna rolls. Each roll was 6 points, so I treated myself to two equaling 12 points. They were so so delicious!

And then after dinner, I had 1/2 cup of Blue Bell ice cream which was 6 points and then I had a rice cake as well which was 2 points, so that was me pigging out but I only went 2 points into my activity points today. So I wasn't bad.

Day 2 of my new start

I woke up this morning at 5:30AM to do my day 2 of Brazil Butt Lift, but as I was getting ready I heard Caroline crying so I had mommy duties to attend to. We snuggled on the couch most of the morning, so I'm sure she woke up due to working on cutting her last 3 molars. I see them poking white through her gums, so I know she is hurting.

I made her her usual waffles for breakfast and I made my McMuffin. I think I will only be making a McMuffin on days I work out in the morning and doing something different on days I wait til around lunch time. It'll help me do better with my points. So the McMuffin was 8 points.

Then I had my usual chewy bar as a morning snack and that was 3 points.

For lunch I switched it up and I had 2 oz. of tuna fish mixed with light mayo, yellow mustard, and sweet relish on toasted wheat bread. This was only 5 points! I had my usual fat free chocolate pudding cup and decided to have a banana as well. This was 2 points. So my lunch total was 7 points.

I put Caroline down for a nap and decided to work on my Brazil Butt Lift day two. Today was Cardio Axe and High and Tight. I was able to get through half of the Cardio Axe before Caroline was up from her nap upset again. So I made her lunch and continued the rest of the Cardio Axe. I wasn't able to get to High and Tight yet, but I am planning to do that after she gets to sleep.

For my afternoon snack, I had a Rice Cake which was 2 points. Then when Phil got home I decided to go out for a run. This was around 3:30pm. I put Caroline in the stroller and I went out and did the Chubby Jones podcast. I'm still on Week 1. It was a lot harder in the earlier afternoon and pushing a stroller. By the end of it I was beat!

I started dinner and I made Chicken Enchiladas and spanish rice. I need to find a better recipe for these two things. One Enchilada is 9 points! UGH, I should have figured it out before I bought stuff to make it. It's Phil's favorite, so I am hoping to find a better recipe. So I had 2 Enchiladas (I know I know) because I was starving for some reason. So that was 18 points plus I had 1/2 cup of rice so that was 3 points. So together my dinner was 21 points. YIKES! This is where the good thing about activity points and cheat points comes into play. All together by the end of the day after I do High and Tight, I will have made 8 activity points which covers all of my dinner. So I won't feel as bad and I might actually have some 1 point kettle corn while watching some tv after my workout.

At the end of the day, I will have worked out 1 hour and 30 minutes today, woo! I also have drank 71 FL OZ of water today which is a HUGE first for me. I cut out diet soda today too. I feel great.

I'm baaaaaaack!



Hello everyone! Man after vacation I just went on a downhill slump, but I am back and I'm doing great today! I have decided to go back to Weight Watchers since that is what worked best with me. I get 35 points a day currently, and I get 45 extra points during the week!


I started off my morning with a delicious breakfast. I had my own McMuffin without all the fat and grease!

It was a multigrain english muffin, one piece of turkey bacon, one egg, and a piece of cheese. This was 8 points and a great start to the morning and really helped with my snacking during the day.

For snack, I had a 90 calorie chocolate chip chewy bar which was 3 points. Then for lunch, I had a extra crunchy peanut butter and banana sandwich on wheat bread with a fat free pudding cup. The sandwich was 6 points and the pudding cup was 2 points.

After lunch had settled and Caroline down for a nap I did my first work out of the day, I did Brazil Butt Lift. I didn't know what shape my butt fell in so I opted for the classic combo to get it all. I did the 30 minute Bum Bum work out and the 20 minute Tummy Tuck. Phil came home from his motorcycle trip when I was almost done with the Bum Bum work out. He cheered me on through the rest of it and through the tummy tuck. He's the best <3 I gained 5 points for the work out and burned roughly 270 calories.

Then after I got Caroline up from her nap, I had my afternoon snack. A chocolate Rice Cake that was 2 points.

For dinner, I decided to switch it up and make a recipe my friend, Debbie recommended to me. I made Cheddar Stuffed Burgers with Oven Baked Onion Rings and green beans. I modified each recipe. With the Cheddar Burgers I used lean ground beef and I used Whitewheat buns since they were the same points as the english muffins. And for the Onion Rings I used wheat flour. The burger was 9 points and 6 onion rings were 3 points and the green beans were no points :) I added some ketchup so that added an extra point.



After dinner, I tried out the Podcast Debbie recommended to me. It's called Chubby Jones 'Can you hear me god? It's me chubby." It's basically a couch to 5k work out and completely free on itunes! I did version 3 and loved it and the music! It was a 5 minute warm up walk and then 1 minute run/jog and 90 second walk and this was 25 minute long. I did fantastic and burned about 198 calories and earned about 2 points back.

So with that, I decided to treat myself with a little dessert I made myself a 1/2 cup of Blue Bell Dessert Trio. So so good, but I kept it small!

So at the end of the day, I have consumed 40 points, which is 5 over my daily target but it's okay since I made 7 activity points today. :) I did really good for my first day back and I feel confident that I'm here to stay!

Here are the two recipes I used for dinner tonight: Cheddar Stuffed Burgers and Oven Baked Onion Rings
